It reflects a voluntary and structured commitment, supported by monitoring mechanisms to ensure these objectives are achieved..>>

Summary :

• A mission-driven company is not a separate legal form but a quality that a commercial company can adopt to clearly affirm its social and environmental commitments and make them enforceable against third parties.

• To obtain this status, the company must define its purpose, as well as the social and environmental objectives it commits to pursuing, in its articles of association.

• Internal oversight of these objectives is ensured by a mission committee (or a designated referent in companies with fewer than 50 employees). An independent third-party organization (OTI) regularly verifies, every two or three years (depending on the company's size), that the defined objectives are being met.

• In case of non-compliance with its commitments, any interested party or the public prosecutor's office may request the president of the commercial court to revoke the company's mission-driven status.
